Catholic sex-abuse settlement

According to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, the Fairbanks Catholic Diocese and its alleged rapist priests' 300 alleged sex-abuse victims have reached a financial settlement as part of the diocese's bankruptcy proceedings. The details have yet to be worked out, but the agreed-upon figure amounts to $9.8 million. Two of the more important details remaining stem from two insurance companies that have yet to settle, Catholic Mutual and Travelers. Read much more here.
