The 49th Estate: Ten years and counting

Raquel Ream's family cabin, a work in progress, sits on the edge of the Chugach National Forest. In its current state, it's been a decade in the making, but as with many cabins, there's always more to be done. The Alaskan castle, dotted throughout with unique details, unusual woodwork and souvenirs of outdoor adventure, features incredible views and highlights her father's craftsmanship. Each week, The 49th Estate takes a look inside a different Alaska home. Alaska Dispatch does not endorse the views or opinions expressed by the subjects of these videos.
