Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell has delivered his list of appointments to the state Legislature, according to a blog post Wednesday in the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. The governor recommends 80 candidates to government positions across the state. Perhaps the most significant of those positions, notes the News-Miner, is Parnell's appointment of Michael C. Geraghty as state attorney general. Geraghty is a long-time attorney specializing in natural resources litigation for Anchorage law firm DeLisio Moran Geraghty & Zobel, P.C. Vacancies for various Alaska boards, commissions, examiners, councilors and other bureaucracies could be filled. Read the full list of appointments here. |
