Analyzed: Palin's Facebook comments

After all the recent reports that former Gov. Sarah Palin upset many of her followers by supporting Carly Fiorina in her bid to be the GOP nominee for a California Senate seat, Ernie Smith (via AOL News) started wondering how typical that is for her friends on Facebook. So he took a random sample of more than 500 comments and arranged them into categories, based on whether or not a comment was supportive of the Palin content posted above it. The tally didn't contain any real shockers, but it revealed that posts to Palin's Facebook "notes" were supportive 80 percent of the time, and posts to her "wall" were supportive 92 percent of the time. The Fiorina endorsement wasn't the first time Palin has gotten flack from her supporters over an endorsement. When she endorsed Sen. John McCain in his bid for re-election, 81 percent disagreed with her choice. Read more, here. |
