Lots of us have the best of intentions when it comes to supporting our local arts nonprofits -- but it's easy to forget to sit down and actually put that check in the mail. Enter Pick.Click.Give., the Permanent Fund Dividend Charitable Contributions Program, which makes donating to your favorite arts or cultural group as easy as applying for your PFD -- no stamp necessary. Last year Alaskans used Pick.Click.Give. to donate more than $545,000 in PFD dollars. Now in its second year, Pick.Click.Give. provides PFD applicants with an easy way to donate to nonprofits statewide, including dozens of arts and culture organizations. In addition to the big names (Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, Alaska Humanities Forum, Sitka Summer Music Festival), you'll find local standbys like Anchorage's TBA Theatre, Juneau's Opera To Go and Dance Theatre Fairbanks, plus lots of organizations in smaller and more remote communities -- like the Alutiiq Museum in Kodiak, the Sheldon Museum and Cultural Center in Haines, the Togiak Public Library and Cultural Center, the Wrangell Mountains Center and Unalaska's Museum of the Aleutians. You can find a complete list of participating organizations -- as well as search by the type of organization or location -- at Pick.Click.Give.'s Web site.

Yet another addition to Cyrano's rapidly-growing list of Alaska-themed world premieres, Peter Porco's "Wind Blown and Dripping" is based on the true story of mystery writer Dashiell Hammett (author of "The Maltese Falcon"), who was stationed in the Aleutians as an Army newspaper editor during World War II. "Wind Blown and Dripping" runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. through Jan. 24 at Cyrano's Off-Center Playhouse, 413 D St. in Anchorage. Tickets, $13.75-$15, are available at CenterTix or (907) 274-2599. You can listen to Porco and Marius Panzarella -- who plays Hammett -- chat about the play with APRN's Steve Heimel on this episode of KSKA's Alaska Radio Reader Rambler. Alaska Native teen photographers at Out North Out North and Cook Inlet Tribal Council present an exhibit of photographs by Alaska Native high school students who are participants in MEDIAK, an after school journalism program run by CITC's educational services division. The MEDIAK photo exhibit opens Friday, Jan. 15 with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m., and runs through Feb. 15 at Out North, 3800 Debarr Rd. The opening reception will be followed by a presentation of short films by MEDIAK students. ‘Eurydice' at Perseverance Theatre Time to take advantage of your Alaska Airlines constituent discount and head down to Juneau for a weekend. This month, Perseverance Theatre presents Sarah Ruhl's modern retelling of "Eurydice," complete with an original score composed just for this production. "Eurydice" runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through Jan. 31 at Perseverance Theatre, 914 Third St. in Douglas.
