BP's Macondo blowout report released

Early this morning (9/8), BP PLC released a much-anticipated, internal report on the series of linked causes of the recent Gulf of Mexico rig disaster. For people who have been following the back-and-forth between the companies involved in the explosion and blowout, there aren't many surprises. Blame is spread across a series of mistakes, including a faulty cement job, accepting negative pressure test results prior to well completion, improper venting of blowout gas, and of course, a failed blowout preventer.
