Campaign logo defaced

Dec 17, 2009
This morning, the celebrity website, TMZ posted photos of ex-Gov. Sarah Palin lounging at a Hawaii beach wearing a McCain campaign visor with its logo scribbled out in black marker. TMZ accused her of attacking her former running mate, but Palin told Politico that it was all just a silly overreaction, that she was just trying to "be incognito" while at the beach. Read Politico's report on her response, here, read CNN's report on the whole thing, here, and read The New York Daily News's report, here. The Daily News's story notes that in the photos, Palin was wearing a t-shirt with "If you don't love America" on the front, and ... wait for it ... "Then why don't you get the hell out," on the back. Classy. If you can stand to read one more thing about the least-incognito Alaskans ever to visit Hawaii, check out The Awl's take: She knows exactly what she's doing. |
