The Dispatch has been running tons of aviation news over the past week, but I haven't had time to copy it over to Bush Pilot. Chalk it up to the downside of having your blog's editor cover politics in a topsy-turvy election season. Here are the highlights: More details on the Stevens crash, including the missing beacon signal. Two men died in a plane crash by the Susitna River. Troubling details about the pilot of the plane that went down in Western Alaska with three National Park Service employees. And Craig Medred chips in with a thoughtful essay about the realities of flying in Alaska.
