According to The Associated Press (via APRN), outspoken environmental activist Bob Shavelson has been removed from the Cook Inlet Regional Citizens Advisory Council. Shavelson says he believes the oversight group has become a mouthpiece for government and industry. A member of the council told the AP that Shavelson, whom he called "a good guy," had been warned about speaking out in violation of protocol against decisions made by the group.
