Dog drags human skull home

As if Alaska Beat needed more evidence that it's impossible to predict what a dog will bring home, according to the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, a woman from Houston called Alaska State Troopers when her dog came home dragging something that looked like a human skull. Turned out it was one. Troopers eventually found the rest of the remains in a vacant, forested area near King Arthur Road in Houston, and the body is in line to undergo autopsy, but authorities are keeping rather mum on the whole thing. The article also contains a darkly funny segment with Houston's mayor, who has been a lightning rod for criticism lately and is facing a recall election. His voice seemed to take a chippy tone when he told the Frontiersman that he is not suspected of having any connection to the remains, which were found near the general area where he lives.
