Federal subsistence review complete but unreleased

According to Alaska Newspapers Inc. (via The Arctic Sounder), Sen. Mark Begich's office reports that the U.S. Interior Department has completed its review of federal subsistence management, but that the public will have to wait to read it until Interior Secretary Salazar has had a chance to meet privately and in person with representatives of the Alaska Federation of Natives and other key stakeholders. So far, there is no news on the contents of the review, but Julie Hasquet, Sen. Begich's press secretary, told the Sounder that the senator's office understands that it doesn't recommend changes to federal law, and that Secretary Salazar is reviewing the composition of the Federal Subsistence Board.
