Fox debut: No surprises

Ex-Gov. Sarah Palin made her debut as a "news analyst" on the O'Reilly Factor last night (01/12). There were no surprises. Palin answered some questions about the economy, Iran, the war, her detractors and some key Democrats, and in a couple of places, Bill O'Reilly seemed to get a little curt with the governor. In a few places, Palin also used her trademark style of extemporaneous speech -- for example, speaking here of President Obama's recent slide in the polls, "It was just a matter of time before more of that reflection of the people's uncomfortableness that they feel towards this administration is manifesting in these poll numbers." For a perspective on the show as an artifact of pop culture, read The Baltimore Sun's TV critic's take, here, and if you have a some time to kill, be sure to read that article's comment thread. The governor is scheduled to appear on Fox's Glenn Beck show tonight (01/13, 5 p.m. EDT). And, without further delay, here's the full O'Reilly appearance, embedded via PalinTV.com:
