Ace Fuels owner Richard Armstrong moved a 6,000 gallon fuel tank to Wasilla Municipal Airport to sell jet fuel, allowing pilots to refuel turbine aircraft while avoiding the congestion over Anchorage.

The new fueling location will help expedite EMS flights throughout the region, including in the Mat-Su Borough and to Denali, according to a Ace Fuels press release that went out today.

There are big changes afoot for Wasilla Airport, and proposed improvements include lengthening the main runway to 5,000 feet, FAA weather cameras, and a more direct access road with a security gate.
