According to KTUU-TV, Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan delivered his 2010 State of the City address to the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce on Monday at the Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center. He said that after his administration made controversial cuts to city services, the $9 million deficit Anchorage faced is no longer a problem. "The results: we've got a balanced budget, we've restored our fund balance to levels required to not only improve our bond rating but have an emergency reserve," Sullivan said. The mayor also said that a 3-percent increase in property taxes is an option for the 2011 budget.
