According to a press release (via BusinessWire), Buccaneer Energy has kicked off a statewide contest to "Name the Rig," asking Alaskans to submit names for the LeTourneau Class 116 Jack-up rig Buccaneer will be bringing to the Cook Inlet and headquartering in Kenai. Buccaneer will also be supporting, as title sponsor, the Kenai Chamber of Commerce's 27th annual beer and wine experience, the "Lumber Jack Jam," set for Oct. 1. At stake in the naming contest are two VIP tickets to the event and a special tour of the rig when it arrives. To enter, simply send your suggestions to NameTheRig(at)BuccaneerAlaska.com.
