New AK poll numbers on Palin
Alaska Dispatch |
Jan 29, 2010
According to a telephone poll conducted of Alaskans recently by Public Policy Polling (PPP) the state's opinion of former Gov. Sarah Palin generally reflects national trends, with more than half of Alaska independents and Democrats holding negative views of her, and a large majority of Alaska Republicans holding positive views of her. The Alaska results also show a reverse gender gap consistent with national trends. General poll results show that residents remain starkly divided over her and that her standing in Alaska hasn't yet rebounded. The total results show that 47 percent of Alaskans view Palin favorably, and 45 percent view her unfavorably. The general population results of this poll have a +/- 3.7 percent margin of error.
