New Gallup poll, Sarah slipping
Alaska Dispatch |
Oct 16, 2009
According to The Washington Post's Washington Wire, new poll numbers released by Gallup show that former Gov. Sarah Palin's favorability ratings have reached a new low since the organization began tracking her. The latest composite results give her a 40-percent favorability rating, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4 points. Washington Wire also notes that the party splits are deeply divided, with 72 percent of Democrats holding unfavorable views of her, and 69 percent of Republicans holding favorable ones. But that's not news. The Christian Science Monitor gives us the numbers that would really matter in an election: the numbers on independent voters. 41 percent of them view Palin positively, and 48 percent negatively.
