Nov. Alyeska report: concerns over TAPS personnel shift

According to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, three months before Alyeska Pipeline Service Co. relocated 29 workers from Fairbanks to Anchorage this Feb., an internal report expressed concerns that the personnel shift would be associated with "significant safety and integrity risks" for the trans-Alaska pipeline. A spokesperson for Alyeska said that after the Nov. report, the company studied the concerns and found that costs could be cut through the moves without sacrificing safety.
