Palin tweets about Bristol Bay plane crash

Shortly before 8 a.m. Alaska time on Tuesday morning, the following message concerning the plane crash 17 miles north of Dillingham on Monday was posted to Sarah Palin's Twitter feed. The story is still developing, but former U.S. Senator Ted Stevens was a passenger on the plane, according to some of his friends. As of Tuesday morning, word is that five of the nine aboard survived, but identities of the deceased have not been released. Rescue crews are on scene and an Alaska Air National Guard C-130 is standing by to take injured survivors to Anchorage. Read a continuously updated story about the crash at Alaska Dispatch, here.
