Pilot crashed while searching for missing manThe 52-year-old pilot, Theodore Schachle of Willow, is a family friend of the missing man and was searching for him on Friday. Schachle spotted the missing man but when he turned the plane to make a low pass the aircraft stalled and crashed into trees, troopers said. Schachle suffered facial injuries, while his passenger escaped unhurt. The Anchorage Daily News has the full story. |
