Plane crash in King Cove, Alaska

From a Department of Transportation press release: A PenAir Cherokee aircraft with a pilot and three unidentified passengers aboard crashed at the King Cove Airport about 4:15 p.m. this afternoon. The four people reportedly sustained minor injuries. Early reports indicate the aircraft's landing gear collapsed during the landing. DOT&PF airport officials have closed the runway to allow crews to remove the damaged aircraft. Read about other recent small plane crashes in Homer and Kodiak. |
