Imagine taking off from the Homer Airport on a March afternoon and slowly lifting to 300 feet, and then . . . the plane loses power. That's what happened to a pilot and two passengers today at about 2:15 p.m., and the pictures show what the plane looked like after the pilot tried to land the small plane.

The Anchorage Daily News has a few bits of information from the National Transportation Safety Board, which you can read here. The ADN said the NTSB is investigating the cause of the crash.

The male pilot and his two female passengers were treated for minor injuries at a nearby Homer hospital, according to a Department of Transportation press release.

Last week's crash at the Kodiak Airport left the plane hanging upside down in a tree, which didn't make the rescue efforts any easier. Check it out here.
