Protest haikus for Palin's TLC show

According to Environment News Service, the U.S. branch of the international environmental group "Friends of the Earth" has created a novel way for people to express their displeasure at Discovery Communications' decision to buy the rights to Sarah Palin and Mark Burnett's docudrama, "Sarah Palin's Alaska." That announcement has attracted protests from environmentalists because there is a certain irony in a contract between a television company known for scientific acumen and ecological awareness and a politician known for public stances against scientific inquiry and environmental regulation. Most of the written protests have taken prose form so far. No longer, however! Friends of the Earth started an English haiku poetry contest and began asking for votes from the public to determine the winner. Here's one of the more promising finalists: Honor Alaska
