Round up: Palin 'charms' Canadian crowd

According to practically the entire Internet this morning, former Gov. Palin's speech Thursday evening at a Hamilton Ont., fundraising event went well and attracted almost no protest. The Toronto Star reports that she "charmed" the audience. A Toronto Sun columnist's impressions were much less charitable. The Globe and Mail's report focuses primarily on the hour-long speech, a "non-stop stream of consciousness," the former governor delivered. The Hamilton Spectator filed both a news story and an editorial column on the matter. In fact, if you only read one thing about the former governor's appearance in Hamilton, read the Spectator's editorial. For the most hilarious photographs taken at the event, where media members were tightly restricted (even given a dress code), check out the ones CKTB-Radio managed, here. |
