Round up: Palin memoir debunkers
|
Nov 16, 2009
In case you've been living under a rock, former Gov. Sarah Palin has said some things that many people call untrue. Now that excerpts from her memoir are leaking out, a cottage-industry has sprung up debunking many of her claims. The Associated Press (via the Juneau Empire) has a lengthy (and to be sure, disputed) "fact check" session, here. Media Matters has one based more on policy arguments, here. And, Alaska Beat knows many Palin supporters think The Atlantic's Andrew Sullivan is too rabidly anti-Palin to be taken very seriously, but whatever. Sullivan posted a huge list detailing Palin's factual misrepresentations, checked against the public record, here. Sullivan also put forth an open challenge to the former governor, offering a venue for her to respond to the charges. |
