Anticipation is building for former Gov. Sarah Palin's book, "Going Rogue: An American Life," available Nov. 17, but there's a second Palin tome due out a couple weeks earlier that's based, in part, on weeks of interviews the authors conducted in Alaska.
"Sarah from Alaska: The Sudden Rise and Brutal Education of a New Conservative Superstar," by Scott Conroy and Shushannah Walshe, is due out Nov. 3 from publisher PublicAffairs. Hours of interviews with Alaska political insiders -- some now in office, some who worked under Palin's administration -- could play into the 320-page tome. Both authors spent time in Alaska interviewing people in the know. Walshe slipped into the Capitol during the last legislative session, interviewing at least several sitting legislators, a couple of formers, members of the media and some former Palin staffers. Walshe covered the 2008 national election on the campaign trail for FOX News. Conroy has also worked as a campaign reporter. Palin's own book, the 432-page "Going Rogue: An American Life," is due out Nov. 17 from publisher HarperCollins. Already, it's topping online booksellers' lists in popularity. |
