According to what appears to be a press release posted by YourWestValley.com, Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation announce that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will deliver the keynote address at the group's second annual "Heritage Banquet" fundraising event on May 15 at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Ariz. Tickets for the banquet start at $150, and there will be items available for bid in a silent auction, "including an African safari, hunting expeditions and wildlife mementos." During her speech, the release notes, Palin "will share her views on wildlife conservation and the importance of participating in the public process to protect and further hunting and fishing heritage for todays [sic] sportsmen and future generations." We're not sure if that means she's going to talk about subsistence hunting and fishing or what, but that's what the release says. Read more, here. Phoenix's ABC15-TV also has a brief story featuring quotes from the event's chairman, here. By the way, in case you missed it, the group Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund initiated a national ad campaign and petition drive earlier this year against Palin's proposed TLC nature docudrama, alleging that she is actually opposed to conservation and is trying to green-wash her image.
