According to a long profile written by Shushannah Walshe for AOL News, Shealah Craighead, Sarah Palin's personal photographer, has plenty of Palin stories -- like one from the Daytona 500 where the two share a moment about how "dreamy" Harry Connick Jr. is. In the course of her duties recording Palin's image, Craighead estimates she's taken a half-million shots, the majority of those at book-signings around the country. By comparison, she took about a third that many at her previous job as Laura Bush's personal photographer. Craighead calls her ongoing job with Palin "a long-term documentary project." Craighead says she keeps politics out of it, and while the photog says she's not exactly Palin's confidante, the former governor feels free to be unguarded around her. Read much, much more, here. |
