According to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, some Alaskans demonstrated odd talents for a new reality show called "Stupid Alaskan Tricks" (modeled after David Letterman's segment "Stupid Human Tricks") in the Golden Heart city on Monday. People showed up to do pull-ups on moose antlers, speed-eat a quarter-pound of muktuk, and carve a bust of Sarah Palin out of a spruce log with a chainsaw. The highlights, however, were probably Scott Sisk's blindfolded salmon filleting demonstration, and Amber Hajdukovich's 17-second sled-dog-powered water ski run in the Chena River. Read much more, see a short slideshow -- and even watch video of the water skiing, here. |
