A snowmachine trip to benefit diabetes research, being billed as the "Iditarod of Snowmobiling," is getting set to kick off on February 15. The 72 riders entered in the 2010 "MichCanSka" will travel over 4,000 miles from Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., to Tok, Alaska, over the course of 20 days. Read a Dec. 2009 news report on the trek here, and find links to more information from the organizers, including text updates via sat-phone from the trail, as well as how you can donate to the cause, here. |
