According to the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, Jeremy Morlock, 22 of Wasilla, won't be the only soldier facing charges related to the deaths of three Afghan civilians earlier this year. Army investigators say that as many as four other soldiers could also be facing charges. The Army says that one other soldier, unidentified so far, has been detained in the matter, but has not been charged yet. Charges against the other four soldiers in the case may include murder, drug use, assault and conspiracy. Morlock is facing three counts of premeditated murder and one count of assault, and if convicted, he could face life in prison or the death penalty. So far, authorities have not determined whether they'll seek the death penalty. Read much, much more, here, including quite a bit from people who know Morlock personally. |
