Who stole the Apples?

Somebody's stealing computers from Anchorage students, and they don't like PCs. Early Wednesday morning someone set off a burglar alarm at Mountain View's William Tyson Elementary School, but when the Anchorage Police Department got there the building was empty. The next morning three Apple computers were missing. The total price of those items? $2,736.51. The bigger theft came the next night, when a Steve Jobs fan broke a back door at Airport Heights Elementary and made off with 28 Apple laptops, one Apple desktop, and one Apple mini computer. The thief also grabbed four cameras and a projector for a grand total of $33,265.50. "Now somebody has a whole cartload of Apple computers that they have to get rid of," police spokesman Lt. Dave Parker said. APD detectives figure the crooks will try to sell the computers. So if your neighbor offers you a great deal on a dozen Apples, give APD a shout.
