'Don't Blame Me, I Voted for Sarah Palin'

The world's greatest bumper sticker was spotted on a white pickup truck in the Alaska Dispatch parking lot in East Anchorage Wednesday morning. According to an earnest Dispatch intern, the truck has been parked there several times over the past week.

The sticker features the floating head of Sarah Palin, grinning and squinting into the bright American sun, with the same vaguely militaristic star John McCain used on his 2008 bumper stickers. The truck, a white Ford F-150, is no longer in the lot. A quick internet search revealed a pile of similar stickers and swag, including:

"Don't Blame Me . . . I VOTED FOR SARAH PALIN. And the old guy." (Complete with starred and striped moose.)

"Don't Blame Me I Voted for Sarah" t-shirts, clocks, aprons, and maternity wear.

Or, if you like being ahead of the game, plaster a "Sarah Palin 2012" sticker on your car now. In 18 months you'll look downright prescient.

Are all Alaskans as stupid as the ones who write here. What a bunch of morons. Please please separate from the US. For so few citizens, you take more federal money than any other state. You elect a complete buffoon and backwards person in Sarah and brag about it? Please teach your kids about birth control and the importance of education. Edu what you say? OH MY GOD YOU'RE SO RIGHT THE PRESIDENT WENT ON TV THAT CONFIRMS THAT HE'S A MUSLIM.

Republicans talk about running the country like a business, yet if the government was a business it would be bankrupt by now. The first thing a business needs is a product: for the government, that's safety and security of a large congregation of people. THE SECOND THING YOU NEED IS INCOME: THAT'S TAXES. Raise the shit out of the taxes on people making over 375k a year and ease up on the middle class; in case you hadn't heard, the middle class's labor is what pays for the rich people's yachts. I agree, Obama's been a big dissapointment, but if you seriously think Failin' Palin would have been better, then you have no foresight. Palin would run this country into the ground with a wink faster than you can holler "You betcha!"

As to the "point" you make with The View... things like this only cheapen our political process even more, and they're the reason we're the laughing stock of the rest of the world. I love America, and I want it to return to the financially stable glory it once savored, not this imploding mess caused by cutting income and spending at will. Invest in the foundation of America with food, clothes, medicine and education for ALL, and then we can start selling our intelligence and innovation to the rest of the world.

Love the sticker and YES, you cannot blame those of us who voted for McCain/Palin for the current day mess in the White House.

I used to have a "Sarah Palin is an Idiot" sticker. Then I sold the car. : ( I can't wait to get a new sticker for my new car.. YAY!!
