According to the West Sussex Gazette, the event's organizer, Pastor Kevin Taylor, was captivated by the WEIO competitors he saw on an in-flight ‘bizarre sports' program on his way to Egypt. He decided that putting on a similar event would be a great community event. Pastor Taylor noted that this event is for fun and community, not serious competition. Read the West Sussex story
