The 35th annual Slush Cup in Girdwood
Alyeska Resort will host the legendary Slush Cup event during the resort's Spring Carnival, Friday, April 19 to Sunday, April 21.
The Slush Cup, hosted by Bob & Mark from KWHL, will take place on Saturday at 4 p.m. 50 Costumed competitors will brave two chillingly cold ponds of water on skis or snowboard during the Cup, the signature event of the weekend. Who ever makes it across the 90' hazard wins a 2013-14 season pass.
It's $35 to enter and participants must register by 1:30 p.m. Selections will take place at 2 p.m.
Note: The first round of Slush Cup participant (25 competitors) will be chose from entrees present at the Sitzmark's costume party on Friday night. Competitors will be selected based on quality of costume (originality, flare and style). Winners must come in the same costume for the Slush Cup on Saturday. 21 & over, free admission, $35 entry fee.
This is the Cup's 35th year so come out and make it a good one.
