Most farmers don't let you wander their fields harvesting produce but this year's Alaska Farm Family of the Year is an exception. Ted and Katie Pyrah and family have operated Pyrah's Pioneer Peak Farm in the Butte for over 30 years.
Best known as a u-pick farm, the Pyrahs also grow sod, ornamental trees and hydroponic tomaotes and strawberries.
"I love being out here and I don't really have to make a bunch of money to enjoy it," said Ted Pyrah.
