Qannik was born in January, according to the Louisville Zoo. Her quarters are climate controlled to help her acclimate.

Qannik, an orphaned Alaska polar bear cub rescued from the North Slope in May of this year, is settling in to her new home in Louisville, Ky. at the Louisville Zoo.
