Army Spc. Clifford A. Spohn III died in Iraq on April 9, 2007 when his unit came under fire. Spc. Spohn was assigned to Fort Richardson's 3rd Battalion, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska. His name is engraved on the Veterans Wall of Honor in Wasilla.
